Engineering Capacity

More engineering capacity. Without losing control.

CREA-KO extends established engineering organizations with embedded specialists and dedicated teams. They work within your technical direction and your delivery practices, under responsibilities agreed before the first commit.

A bigger team is no help if it becomes a second engineering operation.

Strong engineering organizations reach the point where the backlog outgrows the team, a specialist skill is missing, or a workstream needs sustained attention nobody can spare. More people is the obvious answer.

More people working to a different standard, reporting through a different channel and holding knowledge you cannot see is how a team quietly splits in two. CREA-KO builds engineering capacity the other way round: engineers join your direction, your repositories and your review practice, and each side’s responsibilities are written down first.

Two ways to engage.

Both models put CREA-KO engineers inside your engineering environment. They differ in one decisive way: who coordinates the work day to day.

Embedded Specialists

Individual engineers inside your team.

For teams that already have an engineering lead, a backlog and a delivery cadence, and need specific skills or more capacity without building a parallel vendor process.

Dedicated Engineering Teams

A coordinated team for a defined workstream.

For a product, platform, modernization or integration stream that needs sustained, coordinated capacity. The coordination each side carries is agreed at the outset, so your leads spend their time on direction rather than on managing contributors.

Want CREA-KO to own an entire project, from requirements to delivery? That is custom software development, not augmentation.

One engineering environment.

Capacity only helps when it works inside the system you already run. Every engagement is built from three parts, and each part has a named owner.

Your technical direction and CREA-KO engineering capacity meet in a shared delivery practice. Each part lists its owner and what it contains.

Your technical direction

Owned by you

  • Architecture and technical standards
  • Priorities and backlog
  • Repositories, tools and environments
  • Security policy and access approval

CREA-KO engineering capacity

Provided by CREA-KO

  • Engineers matched to the work
  • Technical judgement in design and review
  • Onboarding into your practices
  • Continuity and the handover of knowledge

Shared delivery practice

Agreed in writing

  • Planning in your cadence
  • Code review and quality gates
  • Visibility of progress
  • Paths for escalation

The two models differ in where the coordination line sits inside that shared practice — never in who owns your architecture. See who owns what

Where we put engineers to work.

Engineers come from the disciplines CREA-KO practises on its own systems: custom institutional and enterprise software, platforms and commercial products. Each is described by the contribution it makes.

  • Application and backend engineering

Services, business logic and APIs built inside your codebase, to your conventions and your review standards.

  • Platform, cloud and DevOps

Delivery pipelines, infrastructure as code and container platforms, including controlled and on-premises environments.

  • Integration and workflow

Connecting the systems you already run: data exchange, identity and access, and the automation of workflows between them.

  • Data and AI engineering

Data pipelines and AI capabilities engineered into products and platforms that already have owners.

Roles outside these disciplines are discussed case by case. We propose an engineer only when we can staff the role responsibly, never simply to fill a request.

From need to contribution.

The same sequence for both models. Durations depend on the role, your onboarding process and availability, and are agreed case by case.

  1. Requirement alignment

The work, the skills it calls for, the team or workstream it joins and the outcome you expect.

  2. Role matching

We propose engineers whose experience fits the work. If a role cannot be staffed well, we tell you.

  3. Technical conversation

Your engineers meet the proposed engineers before any commitment, so fit is judged by the people who will work together.

  4. Access and onboarding

Accounts, repositories and environments provisioned under your approval, then onboarding into your practices.

  5. Working cadence

Contribution inside the planning, review and reporting rhythm agreed for the engagement.

  6. Review and continuity

Regular review of fit and output; scaling, replacement and handover handled as the agreement sets out.

Who owns what.

The comparison to settle before any conversation about people. These are the default arrangements; your agreement sets the final terms.

Engineers work in your accounts, repositories and environments, under access you grant, scope and withdraw.

Confidentiality terms are agreed in writing before access to your code or data is granted.

  • Intellectual property

Rights to code and work product are defined in the engagement agreement, not assumed from the model.

The engineering standard behind the capacity.

CREA-KO has engineered software since 2007: custom systems for public institutions and businesses, enterprise platforms and commercial digital products.

That record describes how CREA-KO engineers. It is company history, not a list of augmentation clients, and no organization named in it is presented as one.

Five questions to settle before you commit.

The ones that decide whether added capacity strengthens your team or complicates it.

How is engineering fit confirmed?
By the people who will work together. Your engineers review the proposed profiles and talk with the engineers before anything is committed. Fit is a technical judgement, not a match of keywords on a CV.
Who directs the work?
With embedded specialists, your engineering lead does. With a dedicated team, direction runs through governance agreed at the start, and CREA-KO’s coordination scope is written down. In neither model is your architectural authority handed over.
How are code and access handled?
Inside your systems and under your approval: your repositories, your access controls, your review gates. Code ownership and confidentiality are settled in the agreement before anyone is given access.
What happens when we scale, or an engineer needs replacing?
Both follow the terms of the agreement. A replacement goes through the same matching and technical conversation as the first engineer, with a handover where the outgoing engineer can provide one.
How does an engagement end?
With a planned handover: documentation, knowledge transfer and the withdrawal of access, on a timeline set in advance. The aim is that your team holds everything it needs on the day the engagement closes.

A short description is enough to begin. It helps to include:

  • The disciplines or roles you need
  • The work, and the team it joins
  • Embedded or dedicated, if you already know
  • Timing and working-hours constraints
